Who we are
Digital by Default Ai (company in formation) ("we") is the controller of the personal data you give us through this site. Contact: hello@digitalbydefault.co.uk.
What we collect
When you enquire about our Grok for Business training, we collect your name, work email, company, team size, and whether you prefer in-person or online training. We also record whether you opted in to marketing. Our spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) processes technical data such as your IP address and browser signals to check that you're human.
How we use it and why
- To send the agenda you asked for and follow up on your enquiry. This is in our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries, and it's a step you've asked us to take before a possible contract.
- To manage the enquiry in our customer records (CRM). This is in our legitimate interests in running our business.
- To send occasional news and offers about our training and services, only if you ticked the marketing box. This is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
- To protect the site from spam and abuse. This is in our legitimate interests in keeping the site secure.
Who we share it with
We use service providers who process data for us under contract:
- Vercel (website hosting) and Upstash Redis (enquiry store)
- Resend (email delivery)
- HubSpot (CRM)
- Cloudflare (spam protection)
We don't sell your data. We may disclose it if the law requires us to.
International transfers
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, including in the US. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data for 24 months after our last contact with you, or for the length of any training contract plus 6 years for accounting and legal purposes if you book. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe; after that we keep only a suppression record so we don't contact you again.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or transfer it. You can also withdraw marketing consent at any time. Email hello@digitalbydefault.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). We'd appreciate the chance to fix it first.

We'll update this notice if our practices change and show the new date at the top.
